Our CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance)and our non-credited GAPA Professional Dance Program are designed for those ready to take their dance training to the next level. This course offers advanced, intensive training on technique, performance, and artistic expression. You'll delve deep into choreography, improvisation, solo work, and ensemble skills, honing your craft in a supportive and challenging environment.

Duration: 18 months full-time

Cost: $24,000 - Full and Part-Scholarships available to successful audition applicants.

Entry Requirements: Completion of a Certificate IV in Dance or equivalent, demonstrated through an audition or other evidence showcasing your proficiency in dance.

  • Our CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) takes 18 months to complete.

    At GAPA, we focus on each individual, ensuring we have the time to develop you into the best artist you can be.

  • Applications are now open for Audition submissions for 2025 entry.

    Global Artsphere CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) is the perfect stepping stone to a bright future in dance.

    Prospective students must submit a completed application form, a dance resume, a headshot, and a video submission.

    Deadline: Applications must be submitted by December 1, 2024.

    Preliminary Screening:

    Video Submission: Applicants must submit a video showcasing their ballet technique and performance skills. The video should include:

    Ballet barre (5-10 minutes).

    Centre work including adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro, and grand allegro (5-10 minutes).

    A solo/variation piece (1-2 minutes).

    Contemporary Dance (1-2 minutes).

    Evaluation: The GAPA Directors will review the videos and invite candidates for a masterclass based on technique, artistry, and potential.

    Selected candidates will be notified via email and provided with details about the masterclass date, location, and requirements.

    Interview: Candidates will be interviewed by the school directors to discuss their dance experience, goals, commitment, and program understanding.

    Final Evaluation:

    The panel will evaluate candidates based on technique, artistry, musicality, physical suitability, and overall potential for professional development.

    The panel will deliberate and make final decisions on acceptance into the program.

    Physiotherapy and phycology assessment for short-listed candidates will be required.

    Notification of Results:

    All candidates will be notified of the results via email within two weeks of their application.

    Scholarships will be offered at the time of enrolment.

  • AU/NZ student - $24,000 18 months.

  • GAPA Professional Dance Program training with the Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) students

    Program Accreditation: The GAPA Professional Dance Program is not an accredited qualification and is not CRICOS-registered. Therefore, it cannot be used as the primary course for obtaining an Australian student visa (subclass 500).

    Visa Requirements: International students must be enrolled in a CRICOS-registered course to obtain a student visa. If you are already enrolled in a CRICOS-registered course that allows you to hold a student visa, you can apply for the GAPA Professional Dance Program as an additional supplementary program.

    Work and Holiday Visa (subclass 462) and the Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417) 

    The Working Holiday Maker (WHM) Program has two visa options: the Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) and the Working Holiday visa (subclass 417) 

    Visa holders may work and undertake short-term study (up to four months)

  • AS A GAPA student at the diploma level, your uniform is part of the course requirements.

    GAPA Blazer and warm-up wear (branded).

    Leotards classical ballet and contemporary dance. Practice tutu. Tights, ballet shoes, approved pointe shoes, world dance uniform, character shoes, gym wear, a branded hoodie, and runners.

    Performance tutu or jackets will be made to measure in the first half of the year.

    Once accepted into the program, you will be given a complete list of requirements.
